Learning in Senegal!

I went to Senegal through the Livingroutes program from December 27th 2008- January 17th 2009. We worked to write microcredit loan reports for ecovillages in more remote areas of Senegal.

Jess had us up kind of late last night. She was terribly sick.

We made ourselves breakfast in our little flat this morning. In class we talked about Appreciative Inquiry, which I read a book on before coming.

Lunch was white rice with a peanut sauce, yummmm! Dinner was like a salad with french fries. so0o good! I already miss salads from home!

After class, Sam, Katie, Nastia, Fatou, and I went to the local market and bought fabric. After dinner, Sam and I were measured and ordered outfits to be made by a tailor. the fabric and tailoring is only 11,000 CFA all together! (like 20 bucks)

Tomorrow we celebrate New Years!

P.S. I just noticed tonight the moon in Africa fills from the bottom instead of the side- CRAZY
