On December 24th, I returned to the United States. These photos were taken during my six-hour layover at Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., between the nine-hour flight from Dakar and the shorter flight to Vermont.
AFRICA! After three weeks in Senegal I am finally getting adjusted to life in Dakar, and it has been incredible! It’s funny how quickly I have become comfortable living in this city. I still stand out as one of very few “toubabs” or white people here, and everyone likes to make us aware of that…but all in good humor!
